O knihe
Alena Adamíková is one of the prominent personalities of contemporary painting. Looking at the art by Alena Adamikova, we can find lines of a stability in her work that are all too rare these days. Firstly, she paints portraits, naturalistic, with strong contrasts in colour and structure. This gives her works a certain mystical atmosphere, making her one of the most remarkable contemporary surrealist painters. Nonetheless, in the last 10 years of her work, Alena Adamikova has been reflecting her own roots. She describes life perceived in a mystical way, where fairy tales become reality. It seems that there is always a hidden secret in her work, the secret of security of the family, which is in danger of getting lost nowadays in a society of increasing individuality and loneliness. Alena Adamikova has the rare talent of being able to bring certain figures like the romantic lonely wanderer of Caspar David Friedrich, the magic of the Spanish Baroque painting, especially by Diego Velazquez and keep the mysterious narrative. The extensive pictorial part is complemented by texts by art collector Thomas Emmerling, art theorist Beata Jablonská, founder of the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum Vincent Polakovič. The book is in English and Slovak. Alena Adamíková má ten zriedkavý talent, zachytiť postavy v podobe romantických osamelých pútnikov podľa Caspara Davida Friedricha, odeté do čara španielskej barokovej maľby, osobitne podľa Diega Velázqueza, pričom udržiava niť tajomného príbehu. Maliarske dielo Aleny Adamíkovej je nadčasovou pozvánkou uvažovať nad našimi vlastnými koreňmi a detstvom, pripomenúť si ako okolitý svet formoval naše osobné rozprávky. Rozsiahlu obrazovú časť dopĺňajú texty zberateľa umenia Thomasa Emmerlinga, teoretičky umenia Beaty Jablonskej, zakladateľa Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum Vincenta Polakoviča. Kniha je v anglickom a slovenskom jazyku.
